Graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelors in Sociology/Criminology. Then, became a certified teacher through Teach For America. Currently, I am a second year teacher at a high school in Chicago. I primarily work in Special Education. Additionally, I am beginning my studies toward a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.
I love teaching because I view education as empowerment. I approach my teaching with an attitude of creativity and a focus on data. Additionally, I like to utilize exciting methods to encourage students to read or advance in their writing skills. Outside of school, I practice yoga, hang out with my cat, and oil paint.
